Library

The library is the heart of the school for resourcing. It has a range of books, DVDs and magazines, databases, study guides, text books and an e-book platform, to support both recreational reading and the delivery of the NCEA curriculum. Students can also access other forms of help for their learning in the library, from sellotape to internet connected devices to flexible spaces.

Personalised learning is supported through the provision of a silent space during whole school i-times and zoned spaces during class time and through the selection of multimedia resources.

The library is open from 8.30am to 4pm most days. It is managed by a qualified teacher librarian ably assisted by a team of marvellous student librarians.

Borrowing periods are for two weeks, and students can borrow up to 6 items at a time. There are no overdue fines but items are expected to be returned and the replacement cost is emailed first to students, and then to parents if something has not been returned for a long time.
